Writing and Communications Lab

Terry College is dedicated to providing services to our students that promote effective business writing and communication practices.

The Lab at Terry works in conjunction with other campus partners, like UGA’s Career Center, the UGA Writing Center, the Office for Student Success and Achievement, and Terry’s own Undergraduate Student Services, to provide comprehensive support to business students.

Part of the mission of Terry College is creating innovative and ethical leaders in the business world. Communication skills are critical to this mission. NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers) recognizes Communication as a key competency for a career-ready workforce, and a foundational skill for every other career competency they acknowledge.

Students can make an appointment to work on written or verbal communication skills related to classroom activities and career readiness. Faculty appointments support learning in these areas and connection to other support resources on campus for further skill acquisition.
