Our Purpose

The Corsair Society is a student-led organization with the purpose of (a) providing a support network for the University of Georgia’s top undergraduate students interested in exploring career opportunities in business, (b) facilitating productive discussion between University graduates involved in related fields, and (c) supporting the academic mission of the University by fostering a collaborative environment promoting the advancement of the Society’s members and the University as a whole.

The Corsair Society is a collaboration between the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and the University of Georgia’s Morehead Honors College.

Focus Areas

Investment Banking

A proven track record for delivering the best candidates at UGA to top-tier investment banks across bulge brackets, elite boutiques, and the upper-middle market.

Management Consulting

Demonstrated history of placing successful candidates at McKinsey, Bain, and BCG as well as Big Four and boutique consulting firms.

Technology

Established pipeline to software engineering and product management roles at major U.S. technology companies with a growing network across startups.

Fall 2025 Class

Markets and Enterprises Course

This one-hour course is offered in conjunction with the Corsair Society. Through a variety of industry professionals, students will learn about the macroeconomic climate, how markets and businesses function, and the realities of careers in financial services, general management, and consulting. You do not need to be in the Corsair Society to be admitted into this course.

The application period for Spring 2026 is closed.

Next Steps

Once inducted, Corsair assists members in enhancing their knowledge, skills, and network through:

  • Hosting events such as information sessions, dinners, and on-campus interviews with top global firms
  • Facilitating industry networking with Corsair and UGA alumni
  • Quantitative training in areas of accounting, valuation, capital markets, case preparation and business analytics
  • Qualitative training in areas of professional etiquette, networking and interview skills
  • Assignment of senior mentors to oversee networking efforts

The Corsair Society Trek

Launched in December 2025, the Corsair Society’s NYC Trek is open exclusively to members of the Investment Banking Cohorts. The trip gives students direct exposure to the firms and office environments where they will be recruiting through in-person information sessions at New York City investment banks and private equity firms. Participants may also take part in coffee chats and interviews, strengthening individual networking efforts while increasing the Society’s visibility with employers.

The 2026 trek is scheduled for December 15–17, 2026, and includes:

Bank Sessions

Group visits to major investment banks – spanning bulge bracket, boutique, and middle-market firms – as well as a range of private equity firms in New York.

Individual Networking

Dedicated open time blocks allowing students to conduct personalized one-on-one chats and pursue connections.

In-Person Interviews

Opportunities for firms to convert Zoom screenings into formal, in-person interviews.

Alumni Engagement

An organized social event to build lasting relationships with Corsair alumni residing in the city.
