Rogers Real Estate Investment Fund
The J. Wesley Rogers Real Estate Investment Fund (the Rogers Fund) gives Terry College real estate students a chance to commit real capital to private real estate deals alongside experienced sponsors. The Rogers Fund takes limited partner and co-investment equity positions in transactions ranging from core to opportunistic, and students carry each one through the full lifecycle, from sourcing and sponsor due diligence through underwriting, closing, asset management, and disposition.
Most of the Rogers Fund’s capital is committed to private real estate equity investments, with a smaller allocation to publicly traded real estate equities to help balance the investment cycle. Analysis teams underwrite an assigned deal and present their recommendation to the Investment Board, a group of experienced real estate investment professionals who advise and vote on every capital commitment.
Members build skills in financial modeling, sponsor and market analysis, due diligence, and defending capital commitments to a room of practitioners. Real Estate majors may apply to join the Rogers Fund each spring.

History

(BBA ’99, MBA ’04)
The Rogers Fund was made possible by a transformative $2 million gift from Terry alumnus and real estate leader Wes Rogers (BBA ’99, MBA ’04), chairman and CEO of Landmark Properties. Rogers has led nearly $17 billion in investments, overseeing the development, acquisition and management of student and multifamily housing across the U.S. and UK. Under his direction, Landmark manages over $15 billion in assets spanning 115 communities and 72,000 beds. Landmark has been recognized as the nation’s top student housing developer for seven of the last eight years and is well known for its exceptional returns.
