Students with credit in MATH 2200 or MATH 2250 may substitute ECON 4750 for BUSN 4000. ECON 4010 is a prerequisite for ECON 4750, but this prerequisite may be waived for students who have earned a grade of B or higher in BUSN 3000, and a B or higher in MATH 2200, MATH 2250, or BUSN 4000. This course will provide students with knowledge about issues related to sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting. Reporting of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues by companies is becoming more commonplace across the globe, yet the process of preparing and communicating the information varies greatly. We will discuss various reporting frameworks and reporting practices. We will engage with multiple companies in a variety of industries to hear how sustainability impacts their business.
