Kiana C. Morris
Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Kiana Morris is chief strategy officer for the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she leads culture reform and innovation to enhance organizational value, foster transparency and strengthen organizational accountability.
Morris is the first chief strategy officer at the NCHS, where she oversees the center’s strategic direction for more than 550 employees and resource allocation for a $187 million annual budget.
Morris holds an MBA from the University of Georgia, is certified in meta-leadership through the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and holds a BA in public relations from Clark Atlanta University.
Morris was named to the Young Government Leaders 40 Under 40 in 2018, the University of Georgia 40 Under 40 in 2020, the Atlanta Business Chronicle 40 Under 40 in 2022 and Clark Atlanta University’s 40 Under 40 in 2023. She was honored as a Terry Trailblazer in 2021 for pioneering in her industry while making a meaningful impact on her community.
In her downtime, she enjoys participating in civic engagements through the Delta Sigma Theta sorority. She serves on the board of directors for Day League, DeKalb County’s rape crisis center.
