Albert L. Danielsen
Dr. Danielsen serves as Director of the James C. Bonbright Public Utilities Center and Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of Georgia. His educational accomplishments include a B.S. degree from Clemson University (Industrial Management, 1960), and a Ph.D. degree from Duke University (Economics, 1966). Except for a period between 1976 and 1978 when on leave with the U.S. Department of Energy and a period during 1982 in Europe analyzing oil inventory policies of the major European countries, he has been at the University of Georgia since 1963. Dr. Danielsen conducts research and has published professional articles and books related to market analysis and pricing. His books include The Evolution of OPEC (1982) and Principles of Public Utility Rates, (1988) (co-authored with James C. Bonbright and David R. Kamerschen). He consults on matters related to industry structure and performance, especially pricing issues, in the oil, natural gas, electric, and telecommunications industries. He is listed in Marquis Who's Who in America as well as Who's Who in Economics, 2nd & 3rd ed., which is a compilation of the top six percent of economists of all time as measured by the frequency with which their work is currently cited by other social scientists. His research and publication record and related career accomplishments are also documented in a number of other biographical reference books. He maintains consulting and advisory relationships with several organizations. |
