About the Study Away Program

Join us! The Entrepreneurship Program’s 2023 Study Away to Tel Aviv, Israel.

When: Maymester 2023 (May 13-June 4, 2023)

Who: Open to UGA students of ALL majors who have an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Why: The UGA Entrepreneurship Program is a successful, collaborative, campus-wide initiative at UGA, open to students of all majors who desire to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and/or grow existing startups.

Tel Aviv is frequently ranked as one of the top 5 cities worldwide for innovation and business development. Israel is recognized internationally as “startup nation” with a startup ratio of 1 per 1,400 people, ranking the country as #1 worldwide. The initial weeks of this 6-credit-hour study abroad include cultural visits, classroom activities at Tel Aviv University, and visits to successful local businesses. The program’s final portion is dedicated to developing a problem-solving business plan.

The Entrepreneurship Study Abroad to Tel Aviv will enlighten students about the differences that exist in Tel Aviv, a well-regarded international innovation hub, as compared to successful entrepreneurial eco-systems in the United States and Georgia. This knowledge base can be a career differentiator for innovative UGA students!
