Applications for the 2025 UGA Health & Wellness Pitch Competition are closed!

The UGA Health & Wellness Pitch Competition supports University of Georgia student entrepreneurs with innovative solutions in health, wellness, and life sciences. Participants receive targeted mentorship, skill-building workshops, and multiple opportunities to refine their pitch with feedback from faculty, alumni, and industry leaders.

This year’s competition will feature up to 6 finalists pitching for cash prizes on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Studio 225, The Student Center for Entrepreneurship. Each student business will bring their idea, business, or product for a chance to win prize money totaling $17,500.

Key Dates and Milestones

• September 18, 2025: All applicants are encouraged to participate in the UGA Quick Pitch, hosted by ENTR and Innovation Gateway to receive initial feedback on their pitch.
• September 30, 2025: Health and Wellness application deadline
• October 6, 2025: Announcement of 6-8 finalist teams
• October 9–November 16, 2025: Finalists will be matched with a business mentor and are expected to meet at least twice—either virtually or in person—during the mentorship period to receive feedback and guidance on their pitch presentations.
• October 13, 2025 *date subject to change*: A required Pitch Clinic will cover pitch basics and structure, and provide an opportunity to receive feedback from mentors and peers.
• November 4, 2025: Attend the ENTR Startup Investing course to receive pitch feedback from student peers serving on the Georgia Kickstart Fund leadership team.
• November 10–14, 2025: Final prep week
• November 17, 2025: Final competition

Eligibility and Rules

The competition is open to all currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students at UGA only. To ensure competitive balance, teams that include PMBA, EMBA, or PhD students must also include at least one undergraduate who has made significant contributions to the business concept, strategy, or development venture and who serves as a presenter or co-presenter.
