UGA Venture Prize Competition

Join us for the 5th Annual UGA Venture Prize Competition sponsored by Floor & Decor on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Studio 225, the Student Center for Entrepreneurship, in Athens. Student entrepreneurs, all from the University of Georgia, will pitch their business and/or idea for 1st place prize of $10,000, 2nd place prize of $5,000, and 3rd place prize of $2,500.

There is no limit on the type of business eligible to apply.

Rules & Eligibility

1. Undergraduate and Graduate students only. Founders in professional programs/doctor equivalent programs are required to have at least 1 undergraduate student on the team that has made a significant impact and/or role in the business.
2. If a member of the team has graduated, they must have graduated within the past three semesters.
3. Businesses must have less than $2 million in cumulative  lifetime sales plus cumulative lifetime third-party funding, grants or awards.
4. Businesses can be focused on any technology or industry segment (including social or not-for-profit).
