Exchange best practices and build meaningful relationships.

The CFO Roundtable is the preeminent forum for CFOs and senior finance executives to exchange best practices and can be invaluable for developing strategies for financial planning. Quarterly events are designed by and for CFOs and senior finance executives on topics relevant to the finance community. Alongside Terry College of Business, Office of Executive Programs, the invitation-only program facilitates peer-to-peer discussions that deliver practical value.

The interactive format engages attendees and provides new ideas to drive business performance. In addition, the program builds meaningful relationships within the community and participating sponsors. Created by Cushman & Wakefield (2005), in partnership with University of Georgia, Terry College of Business, the initiative has been a success across North America.

Interactive Discussion on Advancing Women. Closed session, invitation only.

  • Shannon Hassler, Principal, Advancing Women, Korn Ferry

The CFO Roundtable has named the Georgia Council as their “Charity of Choice”.

The Georgia Council on Economic Education helps teachers teach economics in creative and inspiring ways.

While Georgia teachers must be certified to teach economics, they face the highly challenging task of engaging today’s students in the complexities of the subject. We help teachers meet this challenge by:

  • Conducting in-person teacher workshops (more than 100 each year)
  • Delivering special programs like the Stock Market Game™
  • Creating and disseminating innovative instructional materials

Thanks to the support of businesses, foundations and individuals, we typically provide our services and materials at no cost to the teacher or school. More than 15,000 Georgia teachers have benefited from GCEE’s programs in the last three years alone. The number of Georgia students who have become better educated in economics is in the hundreds of thousands.

The Georgia Council on Economic Education reaches all of Georgia, serving teachers and students in all 159 counties. The range of GCEE’s reach in Georgia includes:

  • 180 public school systems, independent schools and home schools;
  • Twelve Centers of Economics Education, each housed on the campus of a university or college;
  • Nearly 200 schools and school systems are designated EconomicsAmerica schools, integrating them into a network of institutions committed to advancing the teaching and learning of economics.
