*Our admissions process operates on a rolling basis, which means we review applications as they are received. Applications received after March 31 may be considered if seats remain. We encourage you to apply early to increase your chances of admission and to secure your place in the program.
Admissions Requirements
We value your unique experiences and perspectives. That’s why we designed the Master of Professional Accountancy program for students who did not study accounting during their undergraduate education.
Our admission requirements ensure you’re well-prepared for the rigors of our program while recognizing the diverse paths that lead to a career in accounting.
Master’s in Professional Accountancy Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in a subject other than accounting from an accredited institution.
- Two years of relevant, full-time work experience.
- Completed Principles of Financial Accounting, Introduction to Financial Accounting, or the equivalent (Note: Applicants without this prerequisite can be provisionally admitted prior to completion of this course. UGA will offer ACCT 2101E the summer before you begin the MPAcc program.)

- A one-page statement of purpose
- Payment of application fees
We do not require GMAT or GRE scores for admission to the Master of Professional Accountancy program.
International Applicants
Our fully online MPAcc program enables students from across the globe to earn their graduate degrees. We encourage international students to carefully review UGA’s international admissions requirements before applying.
Tuition Rates
We strive to make our MPAcc degree program accessible and affordable. Our online program offers the same tuition rates to both in and out-of-state students.
