The Institute for Leadership Advancement (ILA) is a leading component of Terry’s educational excellence initiatives.

Since its founding, the Institute for Leadership Advancement (ILA) has maintained its commitment to offering programs at no cost to students to ensure financial need is not a barrier to participation.

ILA students and alumni demonstrate excellence, leadership capability and commitment to grow as servant leaders. For these reasons, recruiters target the ILA network for internships and career positions at companies and organizations such as Chick-fil-A, EY, Google, KPMG, Newell Brands, The Home Depot, Wall Street banks, Delta Air Lines and UPS. ILA’s leadership development programs graduated more than 1,500 UGA students.

By financially supporting ILA, you are part of a transformational program Terry offers to the future generation of business leaders.

History

Established in 2001 with an initial investment from retired Coca-Cola executive Earl T. Leonard, ILA inspires future leaders to serve their communities and organizations from a perspective grounded in ethics and personal values. To facilitate this mission, Leonard and other early donors provided operating funds to support industry-leading undergraduate leadership programs that enhance the knowledge students gain from their academic majors.
