Fetch Fuel, an electrolyte mix developed to help sick dogs stay hydrated, took home the top prize at the UGA Entrepreneurship Idea Accelerator.
Economics student Harrison McMahan and Finance student Campbell Moore created the beef-flavored water additive.
In addition to Fetch Fuel, the judges also recognized Ablaze — a talent matching platform that pairs startups with coders, marketers and finance professionals who want to help launch a company.
Ablaze, created by pre-business student Neil Thomas, captured second place. Meanwhile, My Mix — a customizable trail mix brand launched by management and marketing senior Kirsten Villarreal — took home third place.
The Oct. 8 Idea Accelerator Demo Day pitch contest also marked the kickoff of the UGA Entrepreneurship Program’s 2025-2026 season of events.
Judges for the kickoff included Jason Pancake, chief technology officer and co-founder of moveBuddha; Salima Ali, a sales bid manager at Capgemini; Bjorn Barja, co-founder of Solutions Mavericks; and Preston Davis, a partner at Evoce Capital.
The Idea Accelerator is sponsored by the UGA Entrepreneurship Program, whose mission is to help develop the mindset of future entrepreneurs and prepare students for leadership roles. Applications and program information can be found here. The program is open to any UGA or community team.
