Marketing professor wins award for dissertation

Associate professor of marketing Anindita Chakravarty was honored with the 2017 Donald R. Lehmann Award from the American Marketing Association’s Marketing Research Special Interest Group.

The award recognizes the best dissertation-based research paper published in the Journal of Marketing or the Journal of Marketing Research.

Chakravarty earned the accolade for her work, “Analyst Earning Forecasts and Advertising and R&D Budgets: Role of Agency Theoretic Monitoring and Bonding Costs,” which was co-authored by Rajdeep Grewal of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

She received the award at the Summer AMA Educators Conference in San Francisco, which was held in August.
