UGA’s chapter of SMIS has once again received accolades from the Association for Information Systems. It was selected as a 2013 Distinguished Chapter, a title the chapter has held since 2010. This award recognizes SMIS’s excellence in professional development, membership, careers in IS, community service, fundraising and communications.
SMIS was officially recognized on December 17th at our main conference, ICIS (the International Conference on Information Systems), which was held in Milan, Italy. Many Management Information Systems faculty attended this prestigious conference to present their papers and participate in panels, along with a special breakfast hosted by our department for IS Department Chairs from around the world.
