Matt Weeks

The University of Georgia will present “Risk and Insurance Career Days” on Jan. 29 for employers interested in hiring students from its Risk Management and Insurance program.

Running from 3:30–6:30 p.m. at the Classic Center in downtown Athens, the event is expected to draw about 150 students from the RMI program at UGA’s Terry College of Business, which is currently ranked No. 2 in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.

The registration fee runs $200 per company. The fee covers expenses for all company personnel attending, regardless of number. Hotel accommodations must be paid for separately. A group rate has been established at the Hilton Garden Inn, located across the street from the Classic Center. To book your reservations, please call 706-353-6800. Be sure to mention the UGA Risk and Insurance Careers Day when booking your accommodations to receive the group rate.

Sponsorship donations will help make this event the best yet, thereby enhancing the experience for students and employers alike. In addition, donations that remain after covering expenses are contributed to various insurance scholarship funds here at the University.

The name of each company sponsor will be displayed on our Careers Day web page, at an exhibit in the Careers Day display area, and at the reception following the event. In addition, each sponsor’s booth will denote their sponsorship level and will be located on “Sponsor Drive,” our preferred high traffic area. Sponsors whose donations are received by January 11, 2013 will also be listed in the Careers Day program flyer.

Those donating $100 will be recognized as Bronze sponsors; Silver recognition is given to those who donate $250; Gold sponsors are those who donate $500; Platinum recognition is given to those who contribute $1,000; and the Diamond designation is accorded to those who donate $2,500.
