Terry College of Business students graduate with promising job prospects and access to a network of University of Georgia alumni and professional contacts that can help springboard their careers. That network, the quality of instruction and affordable cost make Terry one of the 10 best business schools in the nation, according to Money magazine.

Money.com ranked programs for undergraduate business majors based on student quality, graduation rate, financial aid and early-career salaries.

Terry College was the only business school in the Southeast – public or private – to be ranked in Money’s top 10. The magazine noted the high percentage of Terry students who secure internships related to their field of study and study abroad for course credit.

“Students entering business school today can expect to be prepared for a world that’s more virtual, but also more globally connected than ever,” wrote Money.com author Giulia Pines.

Over the past four years, an average of 95 percent of Terry graduates were employed full-time within three months of graduation. In the just-completed fall semester, the Bachelor of Business Administration program enrolled 7,961 students in nine academic majors taught by world-class faculty.

“We are proud of our standing as the state’s flagship business school,” said Dean Benjamin C. Ayers. “Terry is the second largest college at the University of Georgia, and we fundamentally view our mission as graduating leaders who are prepared to compete in the global economy, advancing research and supporting the state’s growth through our public service and outreach.”

UGA had the highest percentage of students receiving grants and scholarship (86%) among colleges ranked in the top 10. Combined with UGA’s average student debt calculated by Money to be $18,750 at graduation and reported early-career earnings of business majors totaling $57,100 annually, the Terry College of Business rates as one of the best educational values in the nation.

For students who are unsure about majoring in business, Pines noted that Terry “smartly encourages non-business students to minor in the subject to enhance their understanding of a variety of business and economic issues.”
