University System of Georgia drives record $25.1 billion economic impact

According to a newly-released study by the Selig Center for Economic Growth, the University System of Georgia (USG) generated a record $25.1 billion for the state’s economy in Fiscal Year 2025. The number represents an 8.9% increase over last year.

Research from the Terry College of Business Selig Center for Economic Growth found the University System of Georgia (USG) had an impact of $21.9 billion on the state’s economy and generated more than 160,000 full- and part-time jobs during fiscal year 2023.
