The Deer Run Global Fellows Scholarship provides scholarship funding for selected Terry College students who graduated from a Hall County high school to participate in Terry’s international business office’s study abroad programs. Created through the generosity of Gainesville natives Doug and Kay Ivester, the scholarship aims to provide exceptional learning opportunities to future generations of Terry business students.
All admitted Terry students who graduated from a Hall County high school and who apply to a qualifying Terry faculty-led or Terry-affiliated study away program are automatically considered for a Deer Run Global Fellows Scholarship. No separate scholarship application is required. Applicants must be in good academic standing with at least a 2.75 institutional GPA.

Doug Ivester graduated from UGA in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Terry College and now presides over Deer Run Investments LLC. He was elected chairman of the board and CEO of The Coca-Cola Co. in 1997 and retired in 2000.
