Terry’s Women in Business pauses to relax, network and give back

Women in Business members paint bowls in Terry College Classroom

Terry College of Business’s Women in Business organization gathered earlier this month to paint bowls for the Georgia Mountain Food Bank’s 2023 Empty Bowl Luncheon. The 2023 Empty Bowl Luncheon is an annual fundraiser for the Georgia Mountain Food Bank, which serves Hall, Forsyth, Dawson, Lumpkin and Union counties. Community members pay to attend the lunch and go home with a community-painted bowl as a thank you.

The Women in Business group meets twice a month to connect members with the right tools and resources they need to succeed at Terry and in the business world. The group also hosts social and philanthropic events. Painting bowls was a social gathering and a great chance to help the community, said Women in Business president and finance student Jacquline Lin.
