Terry MBAs place highly in pitch competition

A team of MBA students in the Entrepreneurship Program earned high honors at the Technological Innovation: Generating Economic Results (TI:GER) competition recently held in Atlanta.

The competition asks b-school students to make three-minute-long business plan pitches to a panel of prominent entrepreneurs and investors from the southeast. The students are then peppered with questions about their proposals, and the best plans advance to the next round.

Terry’s Kayla Kizzine took second place and a $500 prize, while fellow MBA students Kelley Reed and Christina Smith took their pitches to the final round.

Terry Entrepreneurship Program director Chris Hanks said the event was a success for his students. “I received incredible feedback from influential people in the startup community regarding your performance,” he said. “The fact that we had two teams make it to the finals is something to be proud of.”
