Master of Internet Technology graduates newest class

The Master of Internet Technology class of 2013 graduated 21 students at the end of the spring semester. The class completed the five-semester program to become masters of innovation and digital transformation. A highlight of the last semester was the final reports that marked the culmination of the nine-month projects that students completed for external sponsors. This time around the projects included:

  • development of an Android mobile application for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
  • site redesign and audio archive for the Atlanta Radio Theater Company (ARTC)
  • creation of a project delivery management system for UGA’s Archway Partnership
  • development of a loyalty point system to work with the POS for Frontera Mex-Mex Grills

The MIT capstone projects take place during the final two semesters of the program. The projects provide an exciting opportunity for students to practice and demonstrate the knowledge and skills obtained while in the program. As you can tell from the project descriptions, they also allow us to work with and help a diverse set of partners. Our first year cohort of 20 students will be starting work on their capstone projects this coming fall semester.

If you are interested in speaking to a class or becoming a project sponsor check out the information on our project sponsorship page. Please consider our students for your staffing needs. Prospective students can apply to the MIT program online or send an email to cpiercy@uga.edu.
