CEO of SCANA to speak at UGA on Feb. 1

Kevin Marsh, chairman and CEO of the Fortune 500 company SCANA Corp., will share his thoughts on leadership Feb. 1 at the University of Georgia.

Marsh, an alumnus of UGA’s Terry College of Business, will speak at 10:10 a.m. in room 271 of the Special Collections Library. A breakfast reception will precede the event, starting at 9:30.

Marsh’s career with SCANA started when he joined South Carolina Electric & Gas Company, SCANA’s principal subsidiary, in 1984 as group manager for technical accounting. Since then he has served in the capacity of vice president of corporate planning of SCE&G and vice president of finance, treasurer and controller of SCANA Corporation.

Prior to his career at SCANA he worked at Deloitte & Touche Certified Public Accountants in Columbia, S.C., for seven years.

Marsh’s talk is part of the Terry Leadership Speaker Series, sponsored by the Terry College’s Institute for Leadership Advancement. The series brings well-known leaders from a variety of organizations to campus to discuss their unique leadership styles and experiences.

The series continues March 22 with Jeff Dunn, president and CEO of Bolthouse Farms, speaking at the university’s Chapel.
