Accounting professor appointed to editorship of auditing journal

Jacqueline Hammersley, associate professor in the J.M. Tull School of Accounting in the Terry College of Business, has been appointed to a three-year term as an editor of Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory.

Published by the American Accounting Association, the Journal has counted Hammersley among its editorial board members since 2008.

The winner of the Competitive Manuscript Award from the American Accounting Association as well as two research grants from the Center for Audit Quality, Hammersley also serves as an editorial board member for The Accounting Review and Accounting, Organizations, and Society.

She is an expert on auditing and attestation.
