A team of Terry MBA candidates captured first place at the annual Chartered Financial Analyst Institute’s Southern Classic Research Challenge on Feb. 23 in Atlanta.

The Deloitte Foundation awarded a doctoral fellowship and $25,000 to a Terry College of Business Ph.D. candidate as part of its Doctoral Fellowships in Accounting Program.

Marisa Anne Pagnattaro, a professor of legal studies, was named a Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor, the university’s highest recognition for superior instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Elena Karahanna, the Rast Professor of Business at UGA’s Terry College of Business, received the Association for Information Systems’ AIS Fellow Award last month at the 2012 International Conference on Information Systems in Orlando.

The Bulldog 100, an annual list of the fastest-growing business owned or operated by UGA alumni, was recently announced. This year, Terry alumni boast 58 of the 100 companies.

The top companies will be announced at a ceremony on Jan. 26 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
