The Executive MBA program at the University of Georgia Terry College of Business was named one of the top 15 EMBA programs overall — and a top six public program nationwide — according to a new ranking by Fortune magazine.
Fortune ranked the Terry EMBA program No. 12 among EMBA programs in the United States, up from No. 14 in 2023, and No. 6 among public business schools. It is the highest-ranked executive MBA program in Georgia.
“The Terry College of Business is committed to offering its students a best-in-class business education that accelerates our graduates’ career trajectory,” said Terry College Dean Ben Ayers. “Our EMBA program brings together an impressive cohort of accomplished students, highly talented and experienced faculty who are leaders in their fields, and an engaged alumni network unsurpassed in the marketplace. ”
Fortune ranked executive MBA programs based on a methodology that counts:
• Program score — factors such as average years of work experience, average years of management experience, and percentage of students with an advanced degree.
• Brand score — what business professionals and hiring managers thought about specific business schools.
• Fortune 1000 score — number of each school’s MBA alumni who are executives.
“Securing a top spot in the EMBA ranking is not just a testament to our academic excellence, but also a reflection of our commitment to cultivating visionary leaders equipped to navigate the complexities of the modern business world,” said Susan Brown, director of Executive, Professional and Online MBA programs at the Terry College. “This high ranking underscores our dedication to delivering a transformative education experience that empowers executives to lead with innovation, integrity, and impact.”
This is the fourth year Fortune ranked MBA programs. In other Fortune rankings released earlier this year, Terry’s Professional MBA ranked No. 13 overall and No. 8 among public programs.
Terry’s Executive MBA is an 18-month degree program geared toward mid- to senior-level professionals, with weekend classes taught at the Terry Executive Education Center in Atlanta.
