Biography
Mac is originally from Conyers, GA and grew up in Loganville before moving to Valdosta in 2014 for his Undergrad and Master’s programs. He has been with UGA since November 2024 and now calls Athens home. Mac has been in Higher Ed since 2022 and was previously working at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College down in Valdosta, GA in their One-Stop Enrollment and Success Center as an Admissions Specialist and Academic Advisor specializing in the Computer Science programs.. He now works in the Terry College of Business as a College Advisor for Finance majors. As of Fall 2025, he began his PhD in Higher Education program with the Louise McBee Institute of Higher Education here at the University of Georgia!
Mac is passionate about higher ed and helping student’s further their education to better their future selves and their endeavors. He is a big advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and hopes that all students will consider his office to be a safe space. As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, he wants his students to know they are not alone and will have someone in their corner. As a member of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc., he has a strong sense of desire for Scholarship, Community Service, and Cultural Awareness as shown through the fraternity’s motto “Opportunity for Wisdom, Wisdom for Culture.” He is also a huge advocate for the Beauty and Power of Music and the Advancement of Music in America as a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc.
Outside of work, Mac is a fan of listening to all kinds of music (from Pop Punk to Orchestral to Hip-Hop and everything in between) and hanging out with his friends. He’s a fan of Football and watches the Atlanta Falcons, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Georgia Bulldogs. Go Dawgs!
