Huixin Han

My research lies at the intersection of health information systems and human-centered AI. I use advanced algorithmic and empirical methods to illuminate phenomena, mechanisms, and impacts in health. I also design deployable framework that help individuals and public-health organizations make better decisions. I am particularly excited about large language models and explainable AI: how to adapt LLMs for health communication and decision support, and how to make their reasoning transparent, auditable, and worthy of trust. Ultimately, I aim to build information technologies that are not only accurate but humane—systems that earn trust, reduce burden, and measurably improve the health of both individuals and populations.
