Matthews named director for Full-Time MBA and MSBA

Jason Matthews, a longtime senior lecturer in the J.M. Tull School of Accounting at the Terry College of Business, has been appointed director of the University of Georgia’s Full-Time MBA and Master of Science in Business Analytics programs.

After graduation, accounting student JT Forsyth will probably don a suit and tie for work each day—the standard accountant’s uniform. But on Saturdays at Sanford Stadium, you’ll find this Dawgs fan dressed very differently.

A matter of plums versus papayas

University of Georgia marketing researchers have found that shoppers’ perceptions of the value of grocery staples vary depending on the physical size of the product and how the price is presented. Specifically, shoppers perceive larger items are a better deal when sold by the pound, but smaller items are a better deal when sold by the unit — even when the prices are essentially the same.
