Richard Watson received the LEO Award for “exceptional lifetime achievement in information systems” at the 2011 International Conference on Information Systems held in Shanghai, China. The award is the highest honor given by the Association for Information Systems.
$1 million Deloitte Foundation endowment will support students and faculty in accounting
With pledged gifts totaling $1 million, the Deloitte Foundation will establish an endowment for the J.M. Tull School of Accounting. The Deloitte Foundation Endowed Accounting Support Fund will provide new annual funding to attract and retain outstanding faculty and furnish scholarships.
Selig Center’s economic forecast says risk of recession grows larger in 2012
Slow growth remains the mantra of the Selig Center for Economic Growth’s 2012 forecast. “We might see continued slow growth or, technically, we might see patches of recession,” Dean Robert T. Sumichrast said in Atlanta. “Either way, unemployment will remain high.”
