The International Business Society is a student-led organization in Terry College of Business that aims to cultivate all students interested in global business. The IB Society offers many opportunities to meet with international companies, professors in Terry with international experience, and like-minded students with a passion for international travel.
Events We Offer
Throughout the semester, the IB Society invites business representatives from multinational corporations to come speak on campus about their company. These meetings allow our members a great opportunity to network with business professionals
Lunch and Learns
Terry professors will share their international experiences with students in a casual setting. Lunch is on us!
Corporate Field Trip
The IB Society offers the opportunity for roughly 12 society members to travel to Atlanta to visit a multinational corporation. This visit includes a tour of the company’s headquarters, presentations from business professionals, and the opportunity to network within the company. If you are seeking an internship or full-time position, this is an extremely beneficial experience.
For students preparing to enter the professional environment, it is critical that one learn how to conduct themselves professionally. The Etiquette Dinner provides our members the opportunity to enjoy a 3-course meal while receiving instructions and advice on how to survive the notorious professional dinner.
Terry Case Competition
Each year, the IB Society organizes and hosts the Terry Cup, a 24-hour case competition between Terry College of Business student organizations. This competition allows business students to practice public speaking and critical thinking skills in a competitive (and fun) environment.
Come have some fun with the IB Society! These events are a great way to meet fellow IB Society members, the Executive Board, and like-minded students.
