Two of our doctoral students have accepted faculty appointments. Chris Maurer will be joining the University of Tampa, and Seth Li will be joining Clemson University in Fall 2013. Mr. Maurer’s dissertation research is on the evolutionary dynamics of apps in Blackberry’s platform ecosystem. For his dissertation, Dr. Li studied the effects of social recommendation systems on consumer preference homogeneity in online environments.
Karim Jetha, a first year MIS doctoral student, was the runner-up for best student paper in the 2013 Southern Association for Information Systems conference.
