Leadership Opportunities

Leadership Fellows Program

Georgia MBA students who seek to cultivate their leadership abilities can become a Leadership Fellow by stepping up to the challenges of the Leadership Fellows program. This opportunity is open to all students willing to commit to making a dedicated effort to grow the leader within. The goals of the program are to:

  • Provide students the opportunity to identify and develop their leadership characteristics and strengths
  • Further develop students’ leadership and communication skills through a crisis management challenge
  • Provide them with a service learning opportunity that stretches their business and leadership skills

Below are the requirements for earning a Leadership Fellows certificate:

  • MGMT 7011 – Leading Evolving Organizations (Second Year)
  • Complete two of the following three:
    • NPF Board Fellows program (Two Years)
    • Top Dawg Case Competition (First or Second Year)
    • Service Learning Project (Second Year)

Orientation Workshops

Before your first MBA class even starts, you start building a firm leadership foundation through a series of workshops. Those workshops continue through the end of your second year. The workshops feature hands-on activities and topics such as:

  • Communication techniques
  • Personal Pitch Delivery
  • Presenting to an Executive Audience
  • Self-assessment
  • Team facilitation

Leadership Speaker Series

Each year, UGA’s Institute for Leadership Advancement (ILA) invites senior corporate executives to campus to share their knowledge and insights with you.
