Career Management for Executive MBAs

Executive MBA students receive executive coaching, career workshops, and career consulting to help them identify and achieve the goals that are most important to them.

Whether you are a Career Accelerator (planning to continue along your current career trajectory), a Career Switcher (planning to change function, industry, or start a new venture), or an Explorer considering your path forward, we offer executive coaching, workshops, career consulting, and assessments to help speed you on your way.

Executive Coaching:

EMBAs work with an executive coach throughout the program. The program starts with team coaching in the first three modules to help you hone your abilities to improve your team performance at school and work. Optional individual executive coaching kicks off during the Leading Evolving Organizations course in Module 5 to help you focus on your goals and ensure that your work in the program and outside of it supports them.

The coaching process makes use of three assessment tools to help you:

  • Articulate your strengths
  • Appreciate differences to manage your team to top performance
  • Understand how your personality impacts your reputation
  • Identify your purpose and the type of work that will support it

Executive MBAs have the opportunity to participate in workshops on:

  • Leveraging Your Strengths
  • Presenting to Executives
  • Working with Executive Search Firms
  • Developing Your Career Vision
  • Telling Your Story
  • Activating Your Network
  • Resume Writing
  • Leveraging LinkedIn
  • Getting Things Done

Career Consulting:

Executive MBAs can also consult with the Career Management team for in-depth help on:

  • Establishing and honing a job search process
  • Resume and story crafting
  • Leveraging LinkedIn
  • Negotiating
  • Interviewing
  • Networking channels and tactics
  • Alumni connections
