Why or Why Not with the Watsons

We invite all Terry College alumni to join us for a special virtual event to hear from two prominent and influential Terry graduates: author, former Georgia Bulldogs tight end and Super Bowl winner Benjamin Watson (BBA ’03), as well as speaker, author and wife to Ben, Kirsten Watson (BBA ’03).

During this virtual conversation, the couple will discuss their journey together, America's struggle with race relations, and the path to becoming good citizens and ambassadors for UGA and the Terry College.

Kirsten and Benjamin Watson

Kirsten Watson is a wife, mother, activist, and speaker. After graduating from the University of Georgia with degrees in marketing and Spanish, she worked for a Fortune 500 company and then entered the nonprofit arena. With her husband Benjamin, she founded the One More Foundation, which is devoted to spreading love and hope. Kirsten is a self-proclaimed “foodie” who enjoys time with family and friends and having deep conversations about life and faith.

Benjamin is a husband, father, author, and 16-year NFL veteran who retired from football in 2020. A University of Georgia finance graduate, his philanthropic efforts were recognized in 2015 and 2017, when he was named a Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year finalist. In 2017, he received the prestigious Athletes in Action/Bart Starr Award. He has written two books, Under Our Skin and The New Dad’s Playbook. Benjamin has appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and the Christian Broadcasting Network.
