Larry Gellerstedt serves as chairman and CEO of Cousins Properties. Previously, he held roles of president and chief operating officer. From 2009 to 2016, Larry led Cousins from an equity market cap of $665 million to over $3.8 billion.
Gellerstedt began his career at Beers Construction Company in 1978 as an estimator and project manager. Eight years later, he became chairman and CEO. He has received numerous accolades, including Atlanta American Jewish Committee National Human Relations of the Year Award, Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Most Admired CEO and Georgia Trend Magazine’s Georgia’s Most Admired CEO and 100 Most Influential Georgians.
In addition, he serves on boards of Georgia Power Company; SunTrust Bank; the Atlanta Committee for Progress; the Georgia Research Alliance; the Jesse Parker Williams Foundation and the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation, among others.
Colin Connolly was named president and chief operating officer of Cousins Properties in 2017. He is responsible for the company's new investments, dispositions, asset management, market leadership, development and operations.
Connolly joined Cousins in 2011 as senior vice president, focused on acquisitions and dispositions. He became senior vice president and chief investment officer in 2013, executive vice president and chief investment officer in 2015, and executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2016. Prior to joining Cousins, he served as executive director and vice president with Morgan Stanley.
Connolly earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Lee university, and an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.
