Startup Fellows Program

The UGA ENTR Startup Fellow’s Program is designed to nurture and develop recent entrepreneurial graduates from the UGA ENTR Program with a goal toward improving student company success post-graduation. This is accomplished by providing recent graduates office space, mentors, and a stipend to develop and grow their businesses under the direction of the UGA ENTR Program.

Can I Participate?

  • Graduated from the University of Georgia within past 24 months
  • Participated in Idea Accelerator, Summer Launch, i-corps, or similar program during his or her time at the University of Georgia
  • Pursuing a startup business full-time post-graduation
  • Has received less than $100,000 in funding
  • Is generating less than $100,000 in funding
  • Lives in Athens

Application Process

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and each term begins on August 1st. Applicants are notified of their acceptance by April 15th for the coming term. Current students may apply during the academic year in which they graduate.

To apply, now will need:

  • Two letters of recommendation attesting to your commitment to your business and your work ethic.

  • A one page executive summary of your business.
  • A video pitch (no more than 3 minutes) explaining your idea.
  • A plan outlining the clear goals you will achieve in your business during the first 3 months of the program. These should be defined, trackable goals.
  • Any supporting documentation that shows the work you have currently done on your business.
