Traditionally, marketing research focuses on how firms can generate more money, but there has been a call in recent years to examine how marketing can be used for a better world.  My dissertation studies how marketing tools and strategies can be used to alleviate global poverty and examines the societal and ethical implications of marketing actions used by firms. I focus on topics that are international (financial access for women in emerging markets) and domestic (U.S. Opioid Epidemic).
