Announcements: * The outside reading material for the final exam is now posted. Because of the delay in making the material available, there are only two new readings posted. [The final exam will not have any questions on the "old" outside readings; a question related to the two "new" readings could be on the final.] * Here's the YouTube video (on the "Origins of the Financial Mess") that we watched in class on Friday. [I'll note two points here. First, not all analysts agree with the speaker's policy recommendations. Second, there is also some dispute among analysts about the importance of various events cited by the speaker. That said, the speaker's description of exactly what happened over the past several years is an unusually clear presentation.] * Pre-final exam office hours will be announced during Monday's class. * Since the posting of the outside-reading list that was intended to apply to the fourth exam has been delayed, responsibility for those readings will be postponed until the final. In other words, there will be no outside-readings questions on the fourth exam. There will instead be a question covering those readings --- the list will be posted later --- on the final exam. * Here's the homework questions (for homework #4 -- scroll down) that were to be posted on the web page. * Grades recorded for homework are: "C" for "Full Credit"; "M" for "Minus Credit" (assignment handed in, but work not up to appropriate standards); "N" for "Not Handed In". |
