Thomson, 3e. Software A great deal of the learning in ECON 4750 is accomplished through empirical projects that require the use of statistical software. The software of choice for this class is Stata. Because of our institutional arrangement with Stata, you can purchase a license to use the 'small' version for one year for only $48. 'Small' means that Stata has limited the size of the dataset you can analyze, but those limits will not affect your work in 4750. The software is not degraded in terms of functionality. If you anticipate utilizing the skills acquired in this class in other coursework or research, you might consider purchasing a license to Stata/IC for $95. Purchase the software online directly from the company.
