Effective Fall 2010, students wishing to major in International Business must select and complete a co-major program. Students will complete the International Business major in conjunction with a functional major within the Terry College. If students wish to pursue International Business as a co-major with the departmental major of their choice, they will be reviewed on the selection criteria outlined below:

All tests will be administered in the UGA Testing Center, Clark Howell Hall. A nominal fee will be charged.

Description of Selection Criteria

1 The Terry MAPP is a standardized, multiple-choice assessment of academic skills (reading, writing, critical thinking, and mathematics) developed through Areas A-E of the core curriculum. All applicants are required to take this test.

2 This is a multiple-choice test, which covers content of ACCT 2101.

3 Final course grades in ECON 2105 and/or ECON 2106. Applicants currently enrolled in one of these courses will be evaluated based on the grade in the completed course.

4 Grades in all Mathematics courses. Level of course(s) will also be considered.

5 Final course grades in ACCT 2101 and ACCT 2102. Applicants currently enrolled in ACCT 2102 will be evaluated based on the grade in ACCT 2101.

6 Final course grades in all non-English language courses. IB majors must start a language sequence before being admitted to a major.

7 The Statement of Purpose is a brief essay (300-400 words) in which the applicant describes his/her interest in the major and his/her future goals.

8 Grades in all English courses. Level of course(s) will be considered.

9 Grade in MIST 2090 or CSCI 1100, if completed or equivalents.
