Prospective Students and Pre-Business Majors
Prospective Students
The Office of Undergraduate Student Services and Corporate Relations is pleased to offer a visit for you to learn more about the Terry College. Our Terry Ambassadors provide tours of our facilities while sharing about their experience as a student. In addition, we can arrange for visitors to learn about admission to the Terry College, specific departments within the College and even attend class with a Terry Ambassador.
Please complete this short form and a member of our team will be in touch with you soon (we prefer at least two weeks notice, if possible):
Pre-Business Majors
Stay in the loop!
Pre-Business students in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences are encouraged to get involved early with the Terry College. Pre-Business students receive Terry e-newsletters and should consider participating in Terry events and activities.
Here are a few tips from Terry Ambassadors on what Pre-Business students can do in their first and second years at UGA:
Year 1 (Freshman/First Year)
- Take assessment at UGA Career Center
- Attend Terry student events
- Connect with upperclassmen who are following the path you desire to follow
- Interact with professors to build your confidence in working professionally with adults
- Join an organization that you find interesting
- Find a mentor in an older student, faculty/staff member, or alumni.
- Develop a resume
Year 2 (Sophomore/Second Year)
- Apply to Terry (if you have questions, stop by 301 Brooks Hall)
- Interacting at events is better than just attending
- Attend career fairs, even if you are not actively seeking a job. The practice will benefit you in the years to come
- Introduce yourself to professors in your respective major and grow those relationships
- Take notes during UGA Career Center events that discuss business etiquette, resumes, good first impressions, etc.
