Leo F. Wells III pioneered a disciplined office real estate investment philosophy of low debt, high-quality tenants, and long-term leases that has attracted more than 250,000 investors and $12 billion in assets since Wells Real Estate Funds was founded in 1984.
A 30-year veteran of the real estate brokerage, sales, and management industries, Wells is recognized as an industry expert on real estate investment trusts (REITs) and is sought after by the media and industry speaking circuit. He has been a frequent guest on ABC, CNBC, MarketWatch, Fox Business News, and Bloomberg Television. His insights have been featured in numerous publications including Money, Investor's Business Daily, Pensions & Investments, Financial Planning, The New York Post, The Wall Street Journal, and The Wall Street Transcript. He also is the national winner of the 2003 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the financial services category. In 2006, he was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business.
In his spare time, Wells enjoys travel, photography, bridge, and golf. His international travels include mission trips and National Geographic expeditions.
