During football season, former Georgia Bulldog All-American quarterback Eric Zeier is the color analyst for Georgia games on the Bulldogs Radio Network. During the rest of the year, he has built a post-football career as a mortgage lender.
He was recently named director of CBO national sales for Taylor, Bean & Whitaker, a wholesale mortgage lending firm. He previously was with Bank of America as a vice president and sales manager in consumer real estate and mortgage lending. He also had been a vice president with HomeBanc Mortgage, where he was responsible for $800 million in production while managing nearly 70 employees.
As a student athlete, Zeier was a star quarterback for the Bulldogs. He was chosen team captain for the 1993 and 1994 seasons, and he finished his UGA career with 67 passing records. He was also a 1994 finalist for the Davey O'Brien Award, given to the nation's top collegiate quarterback. Drafted in 1995 by the Cleveland Browns, Zeier also played for Baltimore and Tampa Bay, throwing for more than 3,500 yards and 16 touchdowns in his NFL career.
Zeier lives in Atlanta with his wife, Carrie, and two sons, Zeke and Ike. In the community, he plays an active role with the Boys and Girls Clubs.
