Douglas R. Oberhelman is chairman and chief executive officer of Caterpillar Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.
Oberhelman joined Caterpillar in 1975 and has held a number of positions in finance, marketing, and operations worldwide. In October 2009, the Caterpillar Board of Directors named Oberhelman vice chairman and CEO-Elect. He was elected CEO and a member of the Board of Directors in July 2010 and became chairman in November of that year.

Kent M. Adams is a vice president of Caterpillar Inc. and president of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation. Adams joined Caterpillar in 1979 and held various positions with responsibilities in the U.S. and abroad; most recently serving as executive vice president with responsibility for North America operations. In February 2005, the Caterpillar Board of Directors named Adams a vice president, and in March that same year he was named president of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation.
