John Jackson

John Jackson (BBA 1976) has been in banking in Atlanta for almost 30 years. In 2004, he joined Atlanta Bancorporation and currently serves as the president and CEO of Bank of Atlanta, a community bank located in the midtown area. He started his career with Bank South, focused on retail banking, consumer lending, mortgage lending and commercial lending. In 1991, Jackson moved to SouthTrust where he remained until 2004. His leadership responsibility at SouthTrust grew from regional manager in 1991 to regional CEO when the bank was acquired by Wachovia.

Bo Means

Richard B. (Bo) Means (BBA 1971) was the president and majority owner of Sun America Mortgage Corp. from 1984 to 2003. In 2003, he sold Sun America to SunTrust Bank. Means' other accomplishments as an entrepreneur include developing numerous residential and commercial tracts in the southeast. He has built shopping centers, office buildings, condominiums, single-family and mixed-use developments, and converted an urban redevelopment area in East Point, Ga., to a master-planned residential community. Another current project is a resort development in Steamboat Springs, Colo. Means serves as a trustee of the UGA Foundation.

Liz Gottung is senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Kimberly-Clark Corp., a $17 billion global health and hygiene company with 56,000 employees worldwide. She leads the development and implementation of all human capital strategies for the corporation and advises the CEO, his deputies, and the board on human resource issues, ranging from compensation and benefits, to employee and leadership development, diversity and internal communications. She first joined Kimberly-Clark in 1981 in a labor relations role, eventually moving into line operations management, including plant management, before returning to HR.

Jimmy Barge

Jimmy Barge (BBA 1978) is executive vice president and controller for tax and treasury at Viacom Inc. In this role, Barge is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Viacom's internal and external financial reporting functions, financial planning and analysis, and global tax and cash management strategies. He joined Viacom in January 2008 from Time Warner, where he was senior vice president and controller. He joined Time Warner in 1995 as assistant controller. He started his accounting career in the Atlanta office of Ernst & Young, before being promoted to regional and national assignments with E&Y.
