MBA Class Gift
We like to cultivate a culture of philanthropy among our graduating students. The MBA class gift eases graduates into the giving process and sends a great message of support to our alumni base and corporate partners.
- Why give?
State budget allocations only cover approximately 30 cents of every dollar spent at Terry College, and tuition dollars can only go so far. Private support is the only solution to bridge the gap and maintain our standard of excellence.
But most importantly, giving boosts the value of your own degree. Alumni giving percentage is a key element in ranking national MBA programs.
Currently only 6% of our alumni make a gift to the school each year, while many of our peer and aspirant schools see alumni participation numbers upward of 25%.
We know that it’s not feasible for every student to make a specific dollar contribution, but we do strive to have every student participate at some level in the giving process. Participation sends the message to our alumni, corporate partners, and ranking systems that Terry’s MBA Program is worthy of support.
- What does your gift go towards?
Any gift designated for the MBA Support Fund goes to student club activities, scholarships and fellowships, program related travel, and, in the past, renovation of the MBA lounge. If you prefer your gift go directly to the Full-time MBA program or the Professional MBA program, you can specify that too.
- Ways you can give
You can make your gift easily online. There are 2 ways to give:
Year Gift Value Year 1 $100 Year 2 $200 Year 3 $300 Year 4 $400 Year 5 $500 1. Make a one-time gift
2. Make a pledge
The easiest way to participate in annual giving is to make a 5-year pledge. Most of our MBA alumni donate on this schedule (right)
You can make a pledge and pay on it on the online giving site. Then every year, in November, you’ll receive a reminder to pay on your pledge.
