Terry's Outstanding Staff Awards are given on a semi-annual basis in two categories: Terry Achievement Awards, for outstanding performance in job responsibilities; and Terry Community Building Awards, for exhibiting and encouraging in exemplary team spirit. Winners are selected by a committee appointed by the dean, which chooses from among nominations submitted. Full-time and part-time staff members are eligible for these awards after completing at least two full years of service in the Terry College. The Staff Awards begun in 2002, has rewarded each winner with a plaque and a check in recognition. These awards are a result of Terry College's Strategic Plan which list the four core values as:
