GA Real Estate Sales Licensing and Appraisal Classification

Georgia Real Estate Sales Licensing

The Georgia Real Estate Commission website has all the information you need on how to obtain your real estate (salesperson, associate broker, or broker) license. This website contains information on approved schools for Prelicense, Postlicense and Continuing Education, as well as the steps necessary to obtain a license.

To meet the education requirements for a Salesperson’s Examination, the applicant must complete the 75 hour prelicensing salesperson’s course approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission OR complete 10 quarter hours/6 semester hours in real estate courses at an accredited college or university (usually only real estate department or law school courses will meet this qualification). College credits to meet this education requirement must meet normal degree requirements. The Georgia Real Estate Commission can help you in determining whether you meet the degree requirements.

The UGA Center for Continuing Education offers professional and personal enrichment non-credit courses related to real estate. They are typically found under the professional development and personal financing links of the Continuing Education website or you can call 706-542-3537 for more information.

Georgia Real Estate Appraiser Classification

The Georgia Real Estate Appraiser Board website provides information on how to obtain an appraiser classification.
