Tom Smith is the president and CEO of the power supply cooperative, Oglethorpe Power Corporation. Smith is a national recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor (2003) and in January 2008 he was mentioned for the second time as one of Georgia Trend's 100 Most Influential Georgians.
